The drivers side Remis blind failed on my motorhome when the plastic joint ‘hinge’ broke, the part is available only from a small number of retailers in the UK but has a lead time of 3 months .
The part cannot be bought on its own you have to buy the complete slider mechanism at about £30 including pp, Remis Germany don’t even bother to answer my emails for support.
I found support through Paul Lawerence who manufacturers small plastic parts using his 3D printer, using innovative ideas he makes parts for motorhomes to improve functionality. Eg a plastic part and tube for water drainage on the dreaded scuttle of X250 amongst others.

The cost to me for my parts was a very reasonable £15 including pp for a pair (left & right handed)
There is also a useful U Tube video (not from Paul) which shows you how to do it.

Note. I have no business connections with Paul in any way, just a motorhomer who needed a bit of help.

That man Google comes in handy. Where would we be without him ?
More importantly, you found another man 'who could' and indeed, 'did' help you. Thank you for passing your find on. Fledgling business's can all do with a shout out when they are going just that bit further than well known conglomerates.

Hi Austin’s,
Thanks for the comment
The part arrived and fitted ok, I suggested to Paul (the engineer) a couple of changes for the future and he then duly made them and sent me a free new set, Top marks.
I also need a plastic safety part for my Ryobi table saw which is not available so I will get Paul to make me one instead of binning the saw and buying a new one.

I second the call for contact details please - the plastic bar with the magnetic strip was missing from one of my blinds when I bought the van so a replacement would be really handy 🙂

I should stress that in order to make a new piece an original is needed, I glued the broken bits back together and that was enough to start the process off.
