After several years of use the floor in the living area of my VW Transporter Campervan is looking tired and worn with scratches etc.
I thought about painting it, but what with and how long would it last. It could also be dangerous if slippy.
Anyone any ideas on how I can smarten up this area as it’s letting the rest of the van down? Thank you.

Ours has a vinyl floor covering which is very hardwearing and cleans up easily.

We also use one of those rubber backed cotton doormats which quickly blots wetness off feet, and will wash in the washer.

Go to a carpet shop and see if they have any suitable offcuts / end of roll pieces of non slip vinyl. Stick it down with a spray adhesive.

Add a small 'barrier mat' at the door.

We had the floor in our van recovered with non slip vinyl flooring. We used a professional as it was a complicated shape to fit but if your floor is more straightforward I would think you could do it yourself.

Others I know have used stick on vinyl flooring in either tiles or planks.

In either case getting the floor properly clean and prepared is the key to a good finish.

There are videos on You Tube that show how it's done.
