Milenco ramps are wide & solidly made, they have either 3 or 4 steps (Milenco Trio or Quattro). Big & heavy though, so we only take them to sites where we know we’ll definitely need them to avoid rolling out of bed.
We now use Milenco Quattro ramps, we used to use the Fiamma ramps, each has their pros and cons.
The Milenco ramps are deeper than the Fiamma so they offer a greater range of height adjustment but as Fiona W, they're heavy at about 10kg, Mrs Wez does struggle with them.
The Fiamma ramps are much shallower and much lighter but don't over as much of a range of adjustment.
I prefer the Milenco ones because they offer a greater range of adjustment, Mrs Wez prefers the Fiamma ones because they're easier to handle so it's a case of horses for courses.
Our current MH is 3.8t, our first two MHs were heavier, both sets of ramps coped with the weight.
Some people use lengths of wood to build their ramps, this could be cheaper but then there's the storage space and the difficulty of drying them when they get damp.
We have the Trident 3 Levelers. We find them much easier to 'mount' as the wheel cups are much larger. Never had to go above the middle cup.
Very bulky but they travel in the loo so not a real problem. If for any reason we don't use them on the site we pop them in a corner of the cab out of the way.
Thanks Magnolia. I said Milenco Trio and you’re right, it’s Trident. We went to level 3 of our Quattro on a visibly sloping pitch better suited to a caravan, didn’t have the nerve to go up to level 4 and I rolled off the bed all weekend.
We always take our yellow Fiamma ramps, though they’re much narrower than modern MH tyres (fine for our beloved old AS Clubman) and only give half the lift; better than nothing on bumpy pitches.
In summary to the OP, Milenco Trident is probably your best bet with a big heavy MH. But you don’t always have to use them - often a minor adjustment forward or back levels you up enough.
We only take with us a few lengths of scaffold board, cut to size, as the wheels sit on the level. If the slope is too much for what we have we either look for an alternative pitch or we drive onto the pitch as most Peugeot/Fiat are nose down so you might not need to level?
