today is a nice sunny day so we are just sorting bits that need doing to motorhome, ie rugs that dont slide, remove a few black spots of mold on curtains, ordered new seals around the wheel arches from baileys, as the originals have discoloured, tried using a uvpc white cleaner with a guard against the paint being careful not to rub body but it cleaned it a bit so replace both sides. roll on 1st april then we hit the road,
We use our Bailey throughout the year, I'm itching to get out again right away, we were supposed to go out last weekend but storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin put paid to that. Try going out through the winter, you may well enjoy it!
I had planned to go out and about every month with the dog in the van; however, I thought against it during the cold winter months, as it did not make sense to me to take the van out, to park it at a campsite somewhere, to spend time inside the van as it was too cold to sit outside, even when it was dry without any wind.
I could just camp outside my house if I were to spend most of the time inside the van!
Besides, my retractable canopy is currently not working awaiting repair.
I also had concerns about intermittent internet connection while I am out and about, as I need to be continuously contactable for my line of work.
This should be addressed soon in that I shall have a 5G antenna and Cat 22 router fitted to the van at the beginning of April 2022. Hopefully, this would make unreliable internet connection a thing of the past, making my van truly for work, rest and play.

We were scheduled to go away last week but wisely managed to postpone the trip, the Needles where the greatest ever windspeed recorded in England is only 15 miles from where the crow flies (very quickly downwind), from the site we were planning to go to.
We would avoid going out in storm type winds and heavy snowfall but otherwise we usually manage a trip at least once a month in winter if possible, we were last out in January, it was a beautiful weekend too, clear skies and sunny with a frost at night.
thanks for replies, i am planning to start touring in april, i used to use the motorhomes all year round every weekend while working, as a means to escape the town. we have camped through winters in deep snow, (couldnt move the van for three days one year) and if i had the income i would be using this motorhome regular, but as we are both retired one must live in ones means, and as we live in the snowdonia national park we are in a lovely part of the country, so really dont feel the need to get away as often as we used to. and the price of fuel is on the increase which works out at £7.03 a gallon where we live, i bought my motorhome a bailey approach autograph 625 last year at the right price knowing theres small bits i can do myself, we are just putting finishing touches to it so it will be ready for 1st april and i wil tax it for the road then.
