Check with the ferry companies is the most accurate way.

If your vehicle is over 5.5m it will need to go on the steampacket ferry from Heysham, the catamaran sailings (Mannanan) from Liverpool is for smaller vehicles/cars. check with Steampacket Company Ltd website on timings/costs etc.

You can sail from Heysham or Liverpool, most motorhomes or campervans can sail on any sailing, the Heysham sailings are on the Ben-My-Chree and the Liverpool sailings on the fast craft Manannan. You'll need to state the length of your vehicle when booking (I have seen them measuring motorhomes at Liverpool). I believe the cost for a 5.5M camper is about the same as a car but it goes up in approx. £30 (for a return sailing) steps per meter after that.
My van is in the 6.5M size and were on the Manannan both ways in August.

Best to book via steam-packet.com

Cheers
Ian
