Just a heads-up for anyone who might have been aware of the free (up to now!) parking overnight for motorhomes etc along the prom at New Brighton. Charges are being introduced. It will cost £20/night between 10pm and 8am. It's a trial period, apparently.
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!

That seems steep for a carpark but if its been abused then so be it.
it`s not a car park, its just a road along the sea front and around a series of "dips" which are common land.
the charges have been introduced because there were upwards of 30 MH`s blocking access for others.

It sounds a good idea. When I was on holiday in the Lake District last September there was a large motorhome parked on the roadside for four days just quarter of a mile from the campsite. It was taking up at least two car spaces in an area where there is a shortage of parking for people working in the town.
We also have a similar problem here in the Scottish Borders with motorhomes parking free in and around the towns instead of using campsites. We end up with overflowing litter bins due to these inconsiderate people.
