Hello
Newbie here, can anyone let me know how to know if the turbo is working on this engine, it's a Fiat 2.8 JTD on a lwb camper 1998.
Engine runs fantastic but never heard the familiar whistle of a turbo or feel the pull, could there be a connection loose or pipe?

On a vehicle of that age you will probably have a mechanically operated wastegate on turbo. Get someone to rev up eginine high whilst you look to see if the wastegate mechanism moves.. If not likely seized up. Other alternative you need to insert a pressure gauge tube in manifold and see if pressure increases with high revs.
