Hi new to campervaning so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

Can anyone recommend a decent but budget off grid kit ideally that harvests wind as well as Solar? Was hoping for a system in the low hundreds, I couldn't afford thousands!

I imagine somehow such a system could be fed into the leisure battery??

Would something like this be any good at all?

Forget the windmill!
The noise will drive you (and any neighbours) nuts!
Depending on your usage, solar will be plenty.
Have a look HERE, this is where I bought my kit.

Much appreciated! Thanks for link

I didn't think a turbine would be noisy but I guess this is why you hardly ever see them around.

Our kitchen in the house was ripped out last Tuesday & we're using the 12v compressor fridge in the campervan on the 150w solar - 10 autumn days so far. Engine hasn't been started in that time. Charge level LED still on 2nd green (rarely gets above that even in summer). Fridge is on lowest setting.

Basically you will need a solar panel with a charge controller and a battery. What type and size of battery and panel you need will depend upon what you want to run off 12V. We have a 100w panel and a standard lead acid leisure battery in MH and this provides alm the power we need to run water pump, lights and switching for gas water heater and van heating and with fridge on gas.
We have been up to 10days off grid at festivals with no problems.
