Thanks for the advice, they got the other neighbour on our other side to complain as well. Saying how dangerous It is because of cars speeding around the corners. It's a 30mph road with no houses on the opposite side. We said it has to stay there while we are working on it anyway. Also caught the neighbour taking pictures of our driveway too. They don't like cars and quad bikes but doesn't give them the right to treat us like this.

No it most certainly doesn't! I would consider making a complaint about them for harassment. Especially the one taking pictures of your driveway. I would call that an invasion of privacy.

If you look at the requirements for CCTV (you have to put up a sign so people know they’re being filmed) & how your Halo front door camera must not capture a neighbour’s coming and going, and the fuss about StreetView privacy invasion, this could be a matter of a breach of the Data Protection regulations.
Go to a Citizen’s Advice Bureau & get advice. They may advise you to go to a lawyer (restraining order).
And keep a diary so you have evidence in case anything serious happens.

If they are taking photos of your house or drive from the public footpath it is perfectly legal.

That's debatable, I'd still make a complaint about it if they didn't ask permission. Whether it is legal or not might depend on what they are intending to use the pictures for.
Just my two pennies here, on a private dwelling you do not need cctv signs up. We have four on our property installed by a professional company and maintained by them. If there was a need for this we would have one.
As for taking photographs, I’ll admit strange behaviour but not against the law, in times gone past I was a keen photographer attending many courses. We would regularly photograph street views from public areas, ie city centres etc. The minute you step onto private property then that is a different matter.
So in effect someone could photograph you and your children on a high street perfecting legally.

it's not debatable it is the law, if the pictures are only for personal use then permission is not required provided they are taken from public property and you are not committing trespass.
