Our dog tore the passenger door side blind to shreds today when it was closed & we were out. Detached from the closing edge. Unpleated. Goosed, in other words, though the sliding frame is fine. Ducato cab.
The whole cassette with blind is about £250++ plus dealer’s silly labour costs. Ouch. Pleated fabric is pleated fabric & we have a good local firm that makes blinds. Has anyone taken the frame off the door or fitted the plastic frame to a door that didn’t have one? I can’t see any screws.

If you do a search for motorhome door fly screen repair in Google, there are several videos that will probably help you.

I presume the problem blind is the cab blind, rather than the habitation door fly screen, in which case there are several useful videos on YouTube showing how to repair the blind.
There are also several videos showing how to fit the blinds which may help you with removing the offending blind.

Thanks both. Yes, passenger door blind. I looked on YouTube but only found videos for square windows that operate differently. The side window blind runs along a bar at the bottom & fans out at the top. (Or currently falls out.)
We’re going to try patching it together like a war wound when we get home. If that doesn’t work, we need to get the plastic frame for the blind off the door, hence my question.
Who’d have a rescue cocker with separation anxiety eh….

3 years later & we were recently back at the site where the lonely dog destroyed the cab door pleated blind, so I’m posting an update to close the circle.
We did patch up the torn one, but it wasn’t lightproof, so we we’ve been adding a silver screen cut-out for 3 years. We finally accepted the workaround was a faff, might put off buyers & the replacement cost was a small % of the MH value.
So we looked up the YouTubes that you kind folks had recommended (and Google listed the steps one by one) which gave OH the confidence to remove the blind cassette from the door: Screws, clips etc.
Bought a new replacement blind (ie complete cassette plus spare clips & screws) from Leisureshopdirect, our go-to supplier for 30 years (others are available of course). Double checked it was for the left door & the right age of vehicle (& Peugeot boxer cab is same as Fiat ducato). OH fitted it this morning, took maybe an hour. Cost less than I’d expected, c.£230 including courier delivery. That would buy a lot of Butchers Tripe Mix though…
Now… the next repair is to the ripped fly screen on the “lounge” window. You’ve guessed it; the same dog shredded it when we left the window open in recent mid 30°s Scottish heat. Going to try using specific fly screen repair tape. But that’s for a separate post….

Ouch. If we leave the dog in the van we close the blinds & partially rotate the seats so the backs are against the doors.
