Just had a pleasant surprise. I have been waiting for my insurance renewal to come through from Comfort Insurance, and as I will be 70 in a few months I expected a large hike in the cost for the coming year. It went up £14.

My husband had a major hike in price at age 75, I think different insurers look at age differently.

Insurances are not very constant. When getting quotes last week for renewal of wifeï¿½s car several would not cover me as a named driver due to me being 80 and also having faultless driving record. The same companies would cover me with the car and my wife as named driver. Why when I was named the main driver therefore driving the main mileage. ?.
