You don’t say why you want to check the pump, I assume it’s not working? Looks like our previous Thetford toilet & yes, lift out the lidded toilet roll holder on the RHS (does anyone put a toilet roll in there?) & the pump will be submerged in the water below (if it looks unsavoury, you could wear gloves). Look up other threads about freeing off the impeller blade: monty15 did one recently. If it’s stuck, you can get another pump online at no great expense, you don’t need the expensive thetford official one (but have a look so you know what you’re looking for).
In the meantime, you can flush the loo by filling a jug of water from the sink and swirling it round the bowl; we added a splash of dettol during the months it took us to getting round to replacing the pump (laziness).
We use a sports drink bottle with bite valve. Allows a bit of a directional squirt with some pressure. Bit more frugal on water & conserves cassette capacity on longer trips. We only use our flush on short trips.
Yea,
Many thanks that's what we were doing until I got round to sorting it.
Now have access to the pump , cleaned the inside
Pump now steeping whilst I go shopping then gonna dry it if put it back in give it a try, if no joy I will replace the pump as you say not to expensive.
