I am staying in a hotel in Bristol for a weekend in July for an event. I am struggling to find anywhere safe to leave my motorhome for the weekend (city centre hotel with height restriction of 1.98m). Does anyone have any suggestions?
How about finding a out of town campsite on a bus route!
Usual policy of many sites is no unattended units, but if you explain your need, they may tuck you in a corner for a nominal fee, rather than put you on a pitch, as many have a bit of spare space and as not camping, it shouldn't cause them any issues over permissible unit numbers on site.
Even a typical low end pitch fee and bus fare will likely be no more than a long term inner city parking space!
The other alternative that usually doesn't have height restrictions is 'Park on my Drive' type parking. A few companies offering these, try Googling.
I live in Bristol and have off street parking. About 1.5 miles from the town centre. PM me and we can probably work something out. If you're nice then could be a freebie..
That said. Bristol hasn't been completely ruined for visitors with expensive resident's parking schemes. You can park a vehicle on many roads in the south of the centre for free. Is it safe? No worse than anywhere I have parked my cars of vans.
Hi SoggySteve. I'm new to the forums and not sure how to pm you.
That is an amazing offer. I should tell you that she is quite a big motorhome. Ford Rimpor Superbrig 677. Length about 7m, width 2.3m, and a height around 3.0m. Would you be able to accommodate her?
