Hi, we have only bought 2nd hand from Japan, Ford Econoline with Winnebago conversion (dayvan). This was very easy as the agent arranged all the paper work their end, when it arrived it had to have rear fog light fitted, two different lamp bulbs and an MOT, then off to DVLA with paperwork, paid for reg and tax and that was it( vehicle over 10yrs). New or under years needs SVA, contact VOSA ,if not standard vehicle will need changes to make G.B, legal. But agent or garage where bought would tell you this.
Good luck
