Does anyone know the legal position when using the gas on a motorhome when the vehicle is parked, maybe left in a car park all day? I feel that the construction of caravans and motorhomes means that it should be perfectly safe to leave the vehicle or van with the gas on. I now use the gas when parked, but switch back to electric when driving the vehicle again. I was told by an American RV dealer that they even leave the gas on when the vehicle is being driven!------------- George

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.

Hi George,
Definitely illegal to enter a fuel station with a naked flame even a pilot light.
Don't know for sure about anywhere else.

I've seen sgns in some motorway services carparks forbidding the lighting of any gas appliances, I assume this applies to gas powered fridges.
