What is the oldest campervan or motorhome around? As a vlassic car enthusiast I would llike to know. I have seen an arictle about a caravan from the 1920's but what is the oldest motor one in use? I know bedfords and commers from the 60's are about. Anything older out there?

Hi Bill  ........ saw a lovely one last year on a site in New Romney ....... a Paladine or something .... Commer van ....... anyway whatever it was - it was a lovely van .... I chatted with the couple and they said I could take some pics in the daylight .... sadly next day it rain big time, and they had left before I ventured out of the van  ....

I did see a program on ch4 at about 4pm .... where these two ladies went into peeps homes and sorted the families probs ....... they had either the van or one very similar

Some of the old ones had inredible fittings, solid oak and everything. Built tolast forever.

The oldest caravan must a horse drawn job, obviously not a motorhome but a caravan nonetheless.

Have a look on the DMI website its got an old wooden effort.
