Ok, sorry for mentioning the dreaded 'C' word in October, but I just wondered if any of you have ever spent Christmas in your Motorhome? Visiting relatives, getting away from all the hype of Christmas, doing it to be different etc.....
What has it been like, did you manage to cook Christmas dinner, did you enjoy it, any funny stories, were you staying on a relatives drive, at a camp site, wild camping etc?
Would love to hear anyone's stories.

------------- Why live for tomorrow, when you can live for today and tomorrow is yet to come?
we see the new year in at weymouth, its an electric atmosphere, thousands of people turn out,to count it down into the new year every ones in fancy dress, well we did a wild camp along side the railway line,it had been a heavy night seeing the new year in and i was more than tipsy, about 10am when i got up i was bursting so decided to point percy out the the camper door ,bearing in mind i had a mother of headaches, well how was i supposed to know a blooming steam train full of people was gonna come down the line :-) :-).....................................best wishes billy in brum :-)
We have spent the last 3 festive seasons in the van away from all the ties of home in scenic Derbyshire. There are several all year sites one with an excellent pub with meals on site.
We went away to Blair Drummond CC site near Stirling, just after Xmas last year for the New Year period. It was fantastic!!! Some of the outfits had really gone to town (they must do it every year), with outside light displays & decorations. Then there was the concert & fireworks display at Stirling castle to let in the New Year.
We have booked this year for Edinburgh CC site, so we are looking forward to that one.
Off to the Lakes again this weekend though Wehhhhhhhheeeeeeeyyyyyyy
if you don,t like the c word, why not give the xmas dinner a miss, if you,re totally independant, drive around anywhere you fancy ,go for a chinese, indian etc( they,re everywhere you go) then do a bit of wild camping

every year have gone up to Scotland to bring in the New year but driven back down early morning as we only had the car, but now we have motor home so we can really enjoy all that Scotland has to offer and it will be wild camping for us its fabulous
Personally, I LOVE Christmas. I just wondered if anyone had spent Christmas day in their Motorhome. Did you have a tree or any decorations up? I mentioned to Hubby the other day that I was thinking of putting a christmas tree in our Motor Home, even though it would be on the drive. He thought I was nuts!
