Hi all

I know I don´t post very often but back in February some of you will recall I was getting very excited about picking up Home and going fulltiming.

Well we spent the summer travelling round the Uk doing shows and picking up bits and pieces and generally getting to feel comfortable with fulltiming.

Eventually we got on the Eurotunnel - 20th October and we have made it down the west coast of France and into Spain.  We have stayed on some wonderful aires by beaches, by lakes, in the mountains all with good facilities as far as water and emptying goes - you do need your own shower.  Prices varied from €6 to free!

We have had some super weather till we hit Salamanca yesterday and today it snowed..... so quick departure to Portugal tomorrow.

Absolutely no regrets - this is the adventure of a lifetime and we are having fun.  We have had scary moments - our first night on an Aire was bit scary having been used to the ´comforts´of a campsite.  I must add that we do not use motorway aires but use the village type ones.....

To anyone thinking of taking the plunge I would sau go for it, open your mind there is a wonderful world out there to see and experience.

Buenos Noches all

Shell and Baz

Maybe one day....................

Best of luck, hope you've got some snow chains, or get further south quick!

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.

Hi shell and baz. we did a similar trip this year. set of Jan 5th over to france.Spent a few days travelling through france to spain. stayed in spain for a couple of months then into portugal ( which we thought was much nicer than spain, well the people were). After a couple of weeks in portugal we went over to france then into italy and stayed around lake garda. After this we travelled over to eastern europe, Hungary, Check rep, slovenia, slovakia, poland etc. then back through Austria, lichtestein and swiss. Ended up covering 15,000 miles, 14 countries and 59 sites. We had a great time meeting people and seeing a different way of life.

Oh yes all this was done in a caravan!!!!!!!!  We have now purchased a swift suntor 600s and are going out to spain and  portugal again in march for a month. the last trip we stayed out for 8.5 months.  If you would like any info on were we stayed and what else we got upto please email simon.stuart at btinternet.com.

Have a great time......Simon And Jules
