Hi Joan

I doubt very much that you will find an interest free option at the moment, although there are some excellent finance packages around currently. I myslef work for a finance company & we are almost giving the money away!! Don't rush into anything but do have a look around & don't be afraid to ask questions, after all, if the dealers want your business, then they should be prepared to help in any way possible. You say you have not had credit before, an application for finance is very simple, you will be subject to a credit search, but as long as you can prove your identity, residence, etc, you should be fine.

Thanks to everyone for your helpful comments. I have been to see my financial adviser today and,  guess what, with a bit of jiggling around I can easily afford to buy a newer van. I am dithering though as it does sound like a lot of money to me and I would have to sell dear old Sooty.

I've located a motorhome and on JenAll's advice started a new link. So if you know anything about Trigano Tributes please offer me some advice on that link.

I need someone with some knowledge to tell me what is best to do. My husband is worse than a chocolate fireguard and says he is having nothing to do with it.
