i know this might seem silly but if you use the correct cb language you are more likely to get people coming back to you.

 

to find out if your rig is working a fair way shout 1     9    a rig check pls and then ask them for there 20 (where they are) and ask for the poundage (thats the power that your putting out)   you will proopably find that on a night around 9 oclock you will get a fair bit of homebases on but the mobiles (wagons) if you shout for them during rush hour you should get a response back as they are all listening for the traffic jams

Hello good buddies, iv'e just noticed that the day month and years are all wrong on this thread.

Billybun my radio will ber sorted out when my camper goes back on the road in April, I may look for a 40ch fm rig for the camper as I think the Tristar may be a touch to big unless I take out some roof lining in the cab and make and fit a bracket to mount cb up there out of the way. Other than that fit one in the glove box but it would be a bit too far away to use when you are travelling,
