Hi

We are hoping to get a motor home shortly, I say hoping as we keep changing our minds one minuet a folding camper then we go back to motor home.  We like to go for one or two nights & tend to travel around a far amount.   Will we have problems finding somewhere to stop for the night as we don't really want to book sites as we may only decide to go that day.

Does anyone stop in places other than sites, I wasn't sure if this was legal or these days how safe.

Hope someone may be able to give some help

Thanks a lot

Here is a site by a Dutch guy showing Wildcamping in GB & this is a forum dedicated to Wildcamping
We have had motorhomes / campers & very rarely use campsites, we like the freedom to come & go where & when we like.
We don't park where there are likely to cause problems, we avoid areas where it has signs saying no overnight camping. We have had to use the odd lay-by but it is not recommended if you want a good nights sleep, I have lots of pushpins for wildcamping sites for here in the UK & in Europe, many of these are easily found with a search of Google.

Any chance that anyone's got around to putting these wildcamping locations on a map?  What are these "pushpins"?

Pushpins are locations put onto a map in Autoroute or Mapoint, Route66 has points of interest & TomTom has POI's. You can use these to navigate to using a GPS, there are other formats but they are all just locations on some type of map or navigation system.
