As i've just had the van painted i dont really want to rip it apart just yet.Has  anybody got any ideas or products that might dry up or that i can inject into the wood to help it for yr or 2. ta

There are various dehumidifier products, ranging from a few pounds for stuff that you dry out in the oven and then leave in the van to soak up moisture, up to electric dehumidifiers that will run constantly (around £60.00 to £100.00) - This will dry it out, but you need to find out why it is damp. It could be condensation as the Luton doesn't always have the same amount of insulation as the rest of the van, or it could be a leak, which will usually require a fair amount of effort to locate. Once you have found the leak it is usually fairly easy to repair - more often than not it comes from places where trims attach - If so, removng the trims and screws, cleaning them up and resealing them with Sikaflex will do the trick
