I know the remedy, but can I put it off for a bit longer ???
Hi Steve, little leaks become big leaks, you should fix it straight away how would you feel watching it burn.... and oil can ignite very best wishes BillyBun in Brum
Hi Billybun. What a horrible thought.WATCHING IT BURN.At the minute i got too much on,thats why i was gonna leave it for a while, but as you said, small leaks become big leaks, and the thought of my van CATCHING FIRE gives me kittens.Tanks for the reminder.
Hi jacqfrost. You must have fitted quite few gasket before.I am not too familiar with T25,but I will have a go at it.Wish I could find a good mechanic where I live who knows T25 inside out.Its a nice van and i like to keep it that way.I will visit Club 80/90 Thanks Steve
I could not have exlained it better my self !!!!!!!!! LOL .I have a go at it tomorrow if it stay dry. If I cant make it to the pub by lunch time ,i shal have a pint under the van.
hi i know this is probably a bit late to reply but advice to anyone else reading this post." get an oil leak fixed asap." the van i have just bought had an oil leak just as described here and caused a fire, burning the wiring loom and a lot of plastic items in engine bay and rear upholstery and furniture of camper.ok for me as i got it cheep and have it almost ready for the road but it must have been a nightmare for the owner at the time
As Jacqfrost said above it only take 10 mins to change gasket. It is well worth the trouble. My van use to leave a cloud of smoke every morning as the exhaust pipe heated up.It Was only a small leak, but by the morning quite few drops of oil driped on the exhaust pipe.I was very lucky to get away with it,but somebody might not be.I say the same Dont leave it. Fit new gasket.
Glad you fixed your leak. We are taking delivery on 25 May of a Peugeot Auto Sleeper Symphony, T Reg, so will look out for any similar leaks. I also notice from your pictures that you have an awning. Is this a free standing one and if so can you tell me what make it is as I am a first time camper and not sure about what fits what.
