Hello, we are hoping to buy our first camper van soon after wanting one for 20 years! We have been considering a T25 but finding comparables pricewise is impossible. How do you know when the price is right? they vary so much. we want one we can use straight away.
You're right the prices on T25's do vary. They seem to be going for quite high prices at the moment. It does all depend on body condition, engine size, registration year. Of course if you want to use it straight away you want a pretty much completed interior that you can just put a few finishing touches too in your own time. Mine was good body work, lovely clean and complete interior, 2L engine size, 1983 registration + awning £2000. Now I have seen them going for much higher than this on ebay.
Just noticed topic entitled T3 VW Camper 4 sale in this forum. Have a look at that. Also there is another entitled VW Camper Hip Top for sale. Check them out!
------------- Smoke me a kipper ............ I'll be back for breakfast!!!!!
Hi Elf Queen, as you live in Somerset try and pop along to Bristol Volksfest in Wraxall at the North Somerset showground on Sunday. It's for all VW's, but there will probably be quite a few T3's (T25) there. As all VW owners are such a friendly bunch you'll be able to ask advice and hopefully get a few ideas about what you want. Even just browsing the car park may help with ideas.
They really are going up in price at the mo so don't hang around!
thanks for your advice and friendly comments. yours looks lovely VWSTARBUG.
we are going to look at one tomorrow - f reg, 74k miles, beautiful condition, 4 berth, the engine is a DG 78 TPS (apparently!)oh and it has a u-shaped lounge they are asking £8,000. we are hopeless mechanically so wonder if best to spend more in the hope that less will go wrong.
will see if we can get to the show at Wraxall Julie.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
