First time out this year last weekend.

Filled water tank, turned on gas. Ignited boiler - FINE.

Switched on water pump and water everywhere, dripping from boiler cupboard all over worktop.

Switched off quickly and mopped up. Switched off boiler again.

What has happened please? Is it sonmething daft or major?

Did you drain the whole system down through the winter and leave the taps open? if not it could be frost damage to the pipes that take the water through the boiler, we had something very similar happen in our first van. Hubby managed to fix ours with some soldering. A lady we met on a site not long after was having the same problem, again easily fixed. On ours it was the heat exchanger, the bit where the water goes through the gas heated area. Like yours there was no problem with the gas supply to the boiler, just a burst pipe from winter frost.

Fingers crossed yours is as easily fixed

Tina

Well, I have no husband to fix it you see and this is where, no doubt I shall get ripped off when I have to go to get it fixed at some caravan repair centre.

Any takes gentlemen, anyone up for a bit of soldering?

If you recently purchased it as said then go back to where you bought it from and ask them to have a look at it

It could be something simple like a loose connection, anyway they would have an obligation to fix it for you, give them a nice smile and look helpless it works every time.

No, I actually bought it last September from a private seller. I really should change my description now.

Hi Welshlady.

I read your post with interest as we've just got our first camper. An 87 Fiat Ducato Glendale and our boiler is the same make as yours and is displaying the same fault. I was wondering if you managed to get yours repaired and what EXACTLY was the problem.

     Pete & Jenny.
