Hi,

Would appreciate advice on this one. A family member ordered a new motorhome from a respected dealership network, new and delivered from the manufacturer 'for the end of May/beginning of June'. Finally got a call saying it had arrived towards the end of June. Now the motorhome has supposedly been at the base vehicle manufacturer's local dealership, with them trying to sort out a problem with the vehicle electrics, for almost a month.

This seems atrocious. Almost two months after expected delivery date. Are we really expected to believe that the base vehicle manufacuturer can't find the problem? Shouldn't they have sent it back to the motorhome manufacturer?  This has all really taken the shine off getting their first motorhome. Holidays have been put back and cancelled, not to mention inconvenience re. insurance/deposit and everything else. Can they cancel and reclaim the deposit?

I might name and shame here and elsewhere if and when appropriate, not to mention getting in touch with the national management of the manufacturer and the dealership network next week. In the meantime, has anybody else had similar experiences? Is this considered part and parcel of getting a new motorhome?

Your thoughts appreciated,

JT
