We have an Eberspacher Airtronic D4 heating systems, that most of the time works at the start up point, heats the van and then 'sort of forgets it is on' and just sits there with the on light illuminted, but not heating.

I wondered if anyone else had expereinced this porble and or if anyone had any ideas for how to correct the problem.

thanks for any help you are able to give.

Roy

hi roy

had a DW4 hydronic on my last van which i had for 7 years. during that time i had a couple of problems but not the one you have.

if you take the van to an eberspacher service place they will plug in a gizmo which should tell them what the fault is.

mike

Just a thought, have you altered the timer ? If not the heater works for an hour then turns itself off. You can alter the length of time it works in increments of an hour, up to it working constantly. Also ids the thermostat set very low, if so it will only heat the van for a short while then turn off because ita at the required temperature.
