Hi

we spend most of our holidays abroad in our motorhome so need a lefthand drive as it makes things easier & thought about nipping over to Europe to buy one has anyone done this or recomend somewhere before I start trawling through Google? I know they aren't easy to get rid of our current MH is Lefthand but we've weighed it all up & this seems to be best I had thought about Holland because chances are their English will be as good as mine!

hi ziggy

i have bought twice in belgium. the first time was a new bare Toyota van wich i had converted to a MH in the UK. the second was a new hymer from campirama at kortrik ( not too sure of the spelling ).

use a search engine for 'campirama' to get their website. 60% of their business is to the uk so they speak excellent english.

i saved 33% of the purchase price. i paid £36,000 & saved £12,000. this is higher than the usual saving but i happened to be in the right place at the right time.

another reason to buy from them is that they will drive the van to the tunnel/ferry for you thereby eliminating the third party only insurance problem. if you use the tunnel you get onto UK territory inside the french terminal so the comprehensive insurance on the VIN number starts before you get on the train.
