Sorry - I posted this under "equipment" but realised too late the message should be in this section.

I'm still looking for a door opener  (internal) for the driver's cab door on my cherished 1991 Swift Kontiki on a Talbot Express base. I've tried Mike Chubb (highly recommended) and Devlin Design (not highly recommended) but to no avail.

Can anyone suggest other suppliers?

 Have you tried any breakers? There are also talbots on Ebay for breaking.

I've tried quite a few breakers around the country but without luck. All vans I found had already lost their door leverage. Must be a weak part. I'll try ebay though. Cheers

 Search Talbot Express on google and then go into the Ebay link scrool down and there is a Talbot Express in one piece you may get your spare part there, hope this helps.

 Can you shut the door? Because only a few weeks ago the drivers side door wouldn't close sometimes we had it fixed by a mechanic, but i'm not sure if it's the same part. Sorry i didn't mention earlier i only just remebered

Sorry late replying - have been off line

Door opens closes and locks OK - it's just that the lever on the inside has snapped off at the back so the connecting rod is loose inside the door panel. I seem to find plenty of Talbot Express doors but the part I need has already been salvaged.

I'm still looking if anyone has any ideas.

I have a fiat ducato & I'm desperate to find a drivers seat (fold down ) would the talbots seat fitt? My van is a 1989 hi-top 1971cc
