Hi members! I hope one of you can help me. I recently traded in my Autosleeper Talbot Express for an Autohomes Beduoin (1991) which is in immaculate condition bar one item! The rear bumper/valance unit is cracked on the offside corner and I have been desperately looking for a breaker or supplier of a replacement. It is in the soft brown livery and is a full 'wrap-round' unit which holds both rear light clusters and a drop-down door which hides the underneath equipment tray. It is manufactured from GRP but is not repairable. Any ideas or names of breakers/suppliers would be greatly appreciated! Yours hopefully - Mike
Hi- Trying to find parts at a breakers would be like wining the lottery, near impossible, my only thought, if you have not tried already is to check if there is a club for Autosleepers with a section for Beduoins, if there is I am sure some members would have had at some time need of parts like yourself, and go from there. Good Luck. kiev
Thanks, Kiev -I have tried that route without success! The Autohomes Bedouin seems to have disappeared with the demise of the factory, so scrap dealers seem to be my only chance! Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated! Yours,. Mike
Hi Mjrees- My only other thought is perhaps you could find a small blacksmith firm who may not actually work in shaped aluminium sheet , but may someone who does, if they dont, or cant make something up for you. Also any decent car body repair shop may also be able to fabricate something, and with todays fillers ect, form just what you are after, it may cost, but I am sure you will think it worth it when finished. kiev
