I have managed to bend the awning rail on my luton overcab.
Manufacturer no longer can provide a replacement.
Its too hard to straighten.
Any suggestions??
If it`s just squashed the rail so you can`t thread your awning bead through, there is a tool that goes through the slot, you hammer it through and it spreads the rail back to how it was. Saw a mention of it somewhere? If it`s totally knacked, then a decent repair shop would be you best bet, if they can re-side a caravan they should be able to replace an awning rail.
------------- Life is one big holiday, only broken up by as little work as possible
Hi can you not try a breakers and match it up they are not to hard to sort out as they are screwed in place ! ? ( you may have to drill a few out and then reseal it when it goes back ! )
The rail curves around the side of the luton overcab.
I cannot find anyone breaking a sutiable vehicle. I have visited Charles & son in Poole but they could not source a replacement. The rail is hardened so not easily bent back into shape!
