Well I have a 120watt inverter and a leisure battery, so what should i be able to run??

If you only have one leisure battery, especially if its only 85amp/hr, and you use high wattage 240 volt appliances. Not very long i'm afraid.

Also, an inverter even uses battery power before the load of the appliance that is plugged into it.

jeff is quite right about inverters eating power. As BJ says you also have to look at how much battery capacity you have.

What are you trying to power up and this would give everyone a better idea of what to suggest for you
