That's the tent up in back garden after over 4 years with no camps and a 500 mile move from Lancashire to north east Scotland. Hoping to rekindle old friendships that I had on here a few years ago! :)
A lot has changed for me too. Been solo for five years now and driving a big Toyota Granvia for four years - check out my blog for my camping adventures with my two little dogs.

Hope you are enjoying being solo, I do remember you speaking about it, but it wasn't definate. Pretty much the same for me, only it wasn't a very pleasant or happy experience. Met somebody special here in Scotland, now married :)
My experience wasn't a particularly pleasant one either, my head was all over the place for about 12 months afterwards. My confidence soared when I passed my test and started driving though, got another little dog and discovered solo camping - and the rest is history.
It's lovely to hear that you met someone special and are now married, I hope you are now very happy in your life.
I had my first solo holiday in Scotland last year, to Arisaig in the Highlands - nice little site, views to die for and great photo opportunities. I've never been to your side of the country but I may get there one day.

I am in a tiny village called Rosehearty, we haven't even got a gas supply! Beach is 30 seconds walk from home and the sea is crystal clear. Would never go back to Lancashire. My door is always open if you ever visit this area! :)
Sounds gorgeous, and the ideal place to get away from the rat race. If I hadn't so many ties back here I could easily live somewhere like that. If I ever win the lottery I'll buy the site I stayed on at Arisaig last year - my tent was less than ten yards from the beach and the sea was crystal clear like yours. And I heard cuckoos every day, I haven't heard any of those round here for years.
