There was a tremendous light show near Monmouth. Someone thought it was a rave "as I can't hear any thunder". You can't if the storm is more than 10 miles away. And don't get me started on grammar! I have just read an advert "get in touch for all you're gardening needs".

Autocorrect may have something to do with it: my iPhone insists on “we’re” when I want “were”.
I watched the thunderstorm on here yesterday.
It moved up through England then headed across the North Sea to Denmark where it is still live at the moment.
I had showers when I drove up from Wiltshire to Cambridgeshire yesterday, some quite heavy, however, no thunder or lightning.

Literally, just 3 or 4 spots of rain yesterday in Sussex.
Talking of grammar, I just had to laugh when we were walking past some small ponds a few years ago. A notice read. “No fishing aloud” I reckoned if I were to sit there very quietly, I could get away with it.
Glad it's not just me with the grammar thing. One of my bugbears is "could of" instead of "could have". My offspring say/text it on purpose, just to wind me up!
On the subject of grammer, the one that gets me is "I am good" instead of "I am well".
However, I can't talk as my mother tongue is not English!

Some decent rain last night (though not enough to wash all the dust off the car, so I had to wash it this morning) but not the slightest grumble of thunder. Some places had a very impressive show, it seems!
