I miss Sue Barker as anchor though. And John McEnroe - or is he there when I’m not? I’ve only been dipping in to the tv coverage (I can’t tolerate grunting or squealing players) but there seems a lack of people commentating who’ve actually played above tennis club level. Maybe I’ve just been doing something else when they’re been on.
I’ll turn the tv back on again at lunchtime though.
Yes, I liked Sue Barker. Not sure about McEnroe. What is Annabel Croft doing there, she only lost her husband a few weeks ago. The test match is on again, so OH will want to watch both.
I hadn’t realised that Annabel Croft had so recently lost her husband. Seems they were our tribe: “ In recent years the couple had converted an old delivery van into a mobile home which they took all across across Europe, going on numerous walking holidays. They named the vehicle, which they transformed as part of a lockdown project, 'Vannabel'.”
Their story was part of a camping thing on channel 4 or 5 maybe earlier this year.
I think their van was something like an ex DHL van with huge mileage. The program kind of walked you through the conversion.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Bit cruel to question why someone should be on telly working when they've just lost their husband (its linked in the same sentence). She still needs to work, or maybe just a sense of normality.
I very much enjoyed the Murray v Tsitsipas match last night! It’s a shame they had to suspend it due to the late time. Hope Murray can keep the momentum going when it resumes today!

Absolutely! We will have to watch on catch-up though as we have been given GP tickets for today.

Daft lassie question - what are GP tickets? (I’ll kick myself when I find out.)
Grand Prix. Yesterday was free practice 1 & 2 and I have never seen so many people there (or around the village) on a Friday. The down side is that the local council have decided to ticket any vehicle parked on a road in the village - including those of residents who have no off-road parking. It has not gone down well.
On the positive side a chap in the village shop this morning ("I come from Liverpool you know" "Really?" :D) told me what a lovely place it is and how great it must be to live here.
