I assume all CAMC members got an email yesterday inviting us to "tell us about your leisure vehicle [motorhome, caravan etc] and get your chance to win one of eight prizes." Woo hoo, the chance of a prize! So I started the survey.... and after countless pages of ranking the brakes, cab trim, layout, the dealer's efficiency, the dealer's handover procedure etc etc, on a multiple point scale, I gave up and just deleted the whole thing. It was clear that I was nowhere near finishing and meanwhile life was passing me by. Wasted more time replying to say why I'd deleted it, but it bounced back as a No Reply address.
Well done to anyone who finishes it! The only way I could have managed that was to tick "don't know" to every question after the first handful about the vehicle model.
No emails from CAMC for me either ...... but I may well now be on their black list! Last couple of times they've ask me about club related stuff, I laid into them pretty hard, pulled no punches and made it very clear I felt the management was serving it's own needs more than members!
Maybe it was just an x% sample of members, then. I've not had one before, and we've been members for several years.
(Definitely not a scam, Mrs B: I get plenty & spot them easily as 123 at yahoo.com is not HMRC...; I forward them all to the official government website for reporting phishing emails & get an acknowledgement back.)
I got the email! It went straight into my ‘bin’. Life is too short for online surveys. The only one I have done recently is the one that the CMC only sent to a very select group asking about their views on the CMC. I wasn’t one of the select few but someone gave me the link so I did it anyway. I felt it was worth doing that one as I don’t like the way the CMC is going and wanted to make sure my views were expressed.
Can't remember an e-mail from CAMC inviting me to participate in a survey.
There was one for Practical Motorhome via their Facebook page.
I started it, then realised it did not give me the option for custom panel van conversions like my van, so I stopped.

I had a email yesterday saying that they were reducing the 2024 pitch prices down to 2023 prices & only 10% deposit.

Think maybe they are getting the message the hard way - a lack of bookings and loss of members! Certainly not noted for listening to members views on their overpricing! Seem to have been a floury of discounts in various forms over past months, I took advantage earlier of their reintroduced (they had dropped it for 2023 bookings) half price mid-week offer, brought the cost of my booking down to an overall figure closer to what it should have been anyway, in fact probably quite a good deal as I only had one w/e in the middle of my stay!
On the customer satisfaction survey they invited me to complete, there was a very strong overall view that they were far too expensive for what they offer, independent sites with more facilities and in similar locations were often cheaper being cited a number of times! Quite a lot of people saying they would drop their membership!
