East of Cleobury Mortimer. Walked down a track, then a path and came upon a lovely old stone house which was abandoned, plus abandoned car and caravan. I was looking for a girl in a red cloak and a wolf. Unusual in England. It wasn't a ruin.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Mrs Bonce your going to have to give better directions for us to find it, google doesnt show anything and catswell farm is on it, so proper land marks would be good or even give the directions you walked from/to
Down the road so Forge Mill from the main road, a sign to public bridleway on the left, about a mile along. Very overgrown bridleway to the right after about 100 yards of metalled track which soon becomes a path between trees. The house is down on the left.
The National Library of Scotland has digitised the maps of England. Free to access & download. www.nls.uk then search Maps. Easier if you know the OS 1:50,000 map number. Look at the 1920s 1:50,000 OS as the woods are coloured green & it’s easier to read than the earlier editions.

Just an old house built of the local Triassic stone. OH went in but didn't go upstairs, thank goodness as the stairs were probably unsafe. He came out with 3 darts as a keepsake.
