There’s a pair nesting in Threave Castle near Castle Douglas (Dumfries & Galloway in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright). They’re almost in sight of the Osprey pair on their platform nest. Neither has a webcam but there are volunteers at the River Dee hide.
The Reserve there is being rewilded, the river floodbanks have been breached to recreate the lochan and Belted Galloway cattle will be fitted with GPS collars as the fences have been removed.
Another chick in Salisbury yesterday, 2 more still to hatch.
