for a new building development in the village... approx 8 months ago the water company laid in new water mains for this new 69 home site, took about 4 weeks, contractors then laid a concrete topping over the new access boxes to tidy things up, about 6 weeks later a section of this cracked away and was subsequently repaired, now this week the water company has turned up dug up the pipework and junction points and are moving the whole lot some 20 metres from the original position!!!

I'm not sure if this is a national thing, but memorials have been erected to service personnel from the local area who were awarded the V.C.
My neighbour is a builder and was contracted to construct the plinths on which the memorials would stand.
In a nearby seaside village, he had just completed the work, when the local planning officer discovered that the plans were wrong. This was on a a grassy area with no other structures on it, but my neighbour had to have the original plinth dug up and a new one built 6 feet away.
