Our theme song putting up the tent 'I'll be your private camper' always starts the camping with a smile, thank you Tina, RIP
------------- Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Never heard of her until about the late nineties and still cannot even name or remember one of her songs, but if she made people happy that is all that counts. RIP.

OMG, another one. RIP Tina.
Those were our sentiments exactly, Mrs B. It's bad enough when the performers you associate with your youth start looking decrepit (though Tina definitely didn't) but when they all start popping their clogs, it makes you realise you're not far behind!

Yes, we are both 75, older than both my parents when they died, but still here and caravanning. Going away for 4 weeks on Sunday.
You are a year older than me then. However, I am the oldest surviving member of my family, which is kind of weird. My mother died in her early 50s, but my father lived to 86.
Mum 64, had various ailments. Dad 70 of a heart attack. Granny (Dad's mother), lived to 99. I don't think any of Mum's family made it out of their 60s. Things weren't properly diagnosed then, even misdiagnosed in Dad's case.
I find it strange how so many people say they are "devastated" when in fact it's a life that should be celebrated. There's a degree of self -indulgence in the former I think, but doesnt it ever make you realise how much closer we are getting to that day as well!!!!
Bit of a fan - got Private Dancer (brilliant, brilliant album, timeless) and Foreign Affair (good album) - but I suspect there relatively arent many who have got anything other than those two albums (in fact the "Most played" on spotify supports this theory).
Live I found it a bit like being attacked by a sound nail gun!!!!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
