Anyone got a Bosch dishwasher? My 14 year old rangemaster integrated dishwasher has packed up. It was a great machine and cleaned the dishes perfectly. I can get a new one, but the delivery time is a bit too long and Mrs.L wants a freestanding machine.
The local shops stock mainly Bosch which now are wi-fi enabled! Great you can sit in the lounge and it will tell you via text when the wash is complete! For goodness sake, it's a dish washer - not a rocket ship.
If I had a local supplier, I would probably get a Meile. I've got a Miele washing machine which is the best by far that we've ever had.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
We have a Neff which is very good.
The domestic general had a new kitchen in April so we had Neff and Siemens kit. The kitchen company told us they were having problems getting appliances due to microchip supply issues. Luckily she got most of them but the oven was an earlier model they had in stock. Cheaper too!

Bosch?? Pile of sh....ok, maybe not. Not had anything Bosch outside saws and drills. We have an LG washer with what at the time was a fancy drive for the motor?? - that has to be pushing 20 now. Couldnt believe it till we worked back to when we got it. It had a repair under warranty after maybe 3 years, but hasnt missed a beat since. We also have an crappy Creda? dryer that will be 25 if its a day. It has operated with a bent pin in the 'go' button from about 2 years old - including moving house, complete with pin in situ.
Not repairable? There’s a Bosch specific website for out of warranty repairs. We have a 40 year old (Zanussi) clothes washing machine that’s still going strong because it’s had a couple of repairs, though it predates energy rating so it might be G (like the huge TVs).
We have had about 4 or 5 different makes of dishwasher over the past years but having either mechanical breakdowns or electronic programme malfunctions we eventually decided to splash out and buy a Bosch dishwasher for reasons of quality and reliability. We purchased a Bosch fridge freezer back in 2006 which is still going and during these years we have never encountered any problems. Our washing machine was replaced 2 years ago which is also a Bosch as our previous models have mainly been Zanussi. We have also replaced the freestanding cooker this year but Bosch only made models with a drop down horizontal opening oven door and we wanted a vertical opening one due to the fact that our kitchen is narrow so not suitable. We had to settle for another brand which is a Zanussi but it feels very robust very much the same quality as a Bosch. So, to answer your question, our appliances would all be Bosch if possible because in the long term even though they are more costly, in my own opinion you get what you pay for which we have experience of in the past.
We purchased our new Bosch cooker from ao.com which were very good to deal with and although they didn't stock any Bosch cookers they do stock Bosch dishwashers. We didn't have to wait long for delivery so maybe worth having a look at their website.
On our second slimline Bosch dishwasher, first one lasted about 15 years. However Bosch are now seen as a cheaper alternative to their sister brand, Siemens.
We have also just replaced a truly awful, but very expensive 4 year old AEG heatpump tumble dryer with a Bosch condenser as it was cheaper than the repair! The AEG replaced a Bosch dryer which did well over 10 years.
My Park Home came with a Bosch dishwasher and washing machine when it was new in 2005. The dishwasher had to be replaced in 2020 and the washing machine is still going strong.

Edit: Someone will be along in a minute to tell you that they're an utter pile of junk.
Can't speak about dishwashers, but couple of years back when looking for a new freezer, I was horrified to discover only the very expensive top end Bosch ones were European made, the rest were just badge engineered versions of the same Chinese tat that is the bottom end budget brands!
Needless to say, I wasn't prepared to pay the premium price just to have a Bosch badge on a budget freezer!
We have had several Bosch dishwashers over the years. Our current one is an integrated Neff (still a Bosch). We have a house full of Bosch appliances washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer. Meile are excellent of course but a tad over engineered and that is why they cost so much.
Just replaced our slowly dying integrated dishwasher with a new Bosch one from John Lewis.
Incredible what we'd been putting up with. We're using the 4+hr eco setting & everything is coming out so much cleaner now.
It's synced up to my phone so I can set it up for water softness/hardness & how much rinse aid is used. It can also tell me how much longer the cycle has to go & if I wish I can speed it up.
Our previous kitchen had all Creda appliances. With the exception of the washing machine which was newer, all were 20 years old and still working.
The washing machine was about 7 years old. So good stuff.
As it had a new tub assembly last year we donated that and our combi oven to the Salvation Army shop. They collect and were pleased to take them. They PAT test electrical gear.
I hope someone can benefit from it.
All the other stuff went to recycling! I have posh cupboards and work bench in my garage now, from the old units!
The Neff kit is very good.

We have a Bosch dishwasher, it's just over 20 years old and not had any problems (touch wood). We also have a Bosch washer which is over 10 years old and replaced the old Bosch model we had which was not an economic repair and was 8 years old - problem was caused by frost -Our fault it was in the garage.

We have the Miele dishwasher and would not look at another brand. We bought direct from Miele however we bought our Miele washing machine, tumble drier and fridge off the Internet from other sources.

Not sure if it is just us, but after having a vented tumble dryer the heat pump dryer is truly awful in comparison as clothes are still damp after being in the machine for well over an hour. In the vented tumble they were dry in less than an hour.,
