Looking forward to the next instalment!
I’m sure you enjoyed Dublin. There’s such great craic in the bars, and the mussels in a cheese sauce are delicious - ours came in an (unused) paint tin, very generous portion. The Guinness is superior too.
I took a group of students there long ago, the Czech girl was smitten with the dancing: someone had given her a CD of Riverdance but she didn’t realise that what sounded like drumming was actually dancing on boards. She was actually moved to tears, wee soul.

Part 2
Our second day ,we drove onto M1 & M50 (Heavy daytime traffic bit like a racetrack) Dublin Motorways to Lucan in the West of Dublin .
To a Wedding
The Venue was at a very Posh 5 star hotel
a lovely afternoon Reception
Met All the Dublin people attending ,all very Friendly .
Then Into the Bar for Drinks and convivial chat .
Then Invited into the Main Reception room to Witness a Celtic Marriage .
All went well .
Then Celebration Drinks and Three course meal .
Then Retired to Lounge Room
To listen to A Local Musician
Who Also does Busking in Henry Street in Dublin
Who Sang Folk and Irish Songs
very entertaining .

As I Play the Guitar
I fancied a bash
The Local singer set me up
Amplifier and Microphone .
So I went into my Repertoire of Songs .
Went back into the Past .
And Played Elvis's,
'American Trilogy'
And Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire "
also Ricky Nelson's 'Hello Mary Lou
a couple of Don Gibson's songs also
Haveing caught the Audiences Attention .
I Decided to play some Old 'Rock and Roll'
A Medley of Same 3 Chords Similar Rock Rhythm.
Mean Woman Blues, Blue Suede Shoes ,Whole lot of Shakin going on and Matchbox and Others .
I Thoroughly Enjoyed myself .
And Got a lot of Complements .

Then Later A Late night Disco till 2am In the Morning .
We all went to our Hotel Room for a well Earned rest .
It Was Certainly a Memorable Day .
Especially for the Bride and Groom .
Glad
to have stayed the Night /Morning at this lovely Hotel .
