At the start of the pandemic, the CMC must have been having some cashflow problems so started selling gift vouchers where if you bought £100 of vouchers they sent you £120 (I think). We bought quite a sum at the time as we weren’t spending any money in lockdown and had some spare cash, and we used most of them in summer 2020 and 2021 to pay for our holidays. I put the remaining vouchers in an envelope and popped them in my sewing cupboard at the end of last season and promptly forgot about them. I was hunting for a button the other day and came across the envelope with the remaining vouchers. It was a lovely surprise and what was left will pay for half of our upcoming September trip. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone else has any they have forgotten about.
Yes this was a great offer and appeared to help the club management with their cash flow problem. However you need to check the expired date as these vouchers had TWO different end dates depending on which month they were purchased.
In addition like a lot of businesses the REAL savings would be made by a lot of people losing or letting them pass their use by date.
Yes, Sammy, you are right. The first lot had no date on them but after a few weeks, they started putting a date on them which has been extended to 31 December 2022. I’m so glad I found them as mine are the dated ones and they won’t be valid next year. I would have kicked myself if I had found them after they had expired!

Lucky you, i bought loads as well but mine are all gone, along with the vat saving it was a nice lump sum off
I suppose by offering these, they are guaranteed a 'sale' at some point in the future at the very least. I didnt know about them.
On surprising 'finds'; about 35 years ago i found a £50 note in a jeans pocket i hadnt worn for maybe 3 years. And at that time, fifty quid was well worth having. It was a good night out and then some!
The main surprise of all, was that i could not for the life in me remember where i had got a £50 note from back then.
