I saw a peregrine start its dive last year for the first time ever. I have never seen a living thing accelerate so fast in my life. It was almost an impossibility to reach such a speed so quick, without being fired out of a cannon. It was so quick, i actually missed it meet its target, as i couldn't move around my shed quick enough as it fell out of the sky. Incredible.
I'd have thought so, but we don't have local webcams because our peregrine falcons nest on sea and river cliffs or crags etc rather than in accessible church towers and the like. Very inconvenient of them...
I was interested to see that many of our webcams for osprey, puffins, gannets etc have been affected by electricity supply problems, presumably after the recent storms, hopefully back online soon as the ospreys will be coming back any day now.
We don't have peregines but we do have egrets which are lovely to see. We have a big dead fallen willow tree (from storm Eunice) by the river in front of our house which is attracting a lot of bird and child interest.
I’d be interested. I had never really thought much about peregrines before last year but clicked on one of the links just to see what it was all about and it became quite addictive. I really enjoyed watching the whole process so would appreciate the links again this year if anyone has the time and energy to supply them!
Pixie, if you click on the links from last year then save them to your device, you will be able to follow. Some of the links are invalid, I just googled them and when they came up good, saved again.

We have red kites and buzzards.
These plus Hen Harrier, Osprey, Golden Eagle all within a 2 hour drive into Dumfries & Galloway. Buzzards fly over our back garden, Ravens too. The Red Kite Trail north of Castle Douglas / Kirkcudbright is guaranteed for sightings as there’s a feeding station (& there’s one at Argaty near Stirling / Doune too).
However, I don’t know of any Peregrine webcams up here (I must check), as they nest on cliffs.
