Has anyone recognised another contributor to this forum on a caravan site from their posts? Not us yet.
No never come across any other contributors on a site, but I did see a couple of posts from a friend of mine locally who I hadn't previously known to be a member of this forum. That's the closest I have got.
Maybe we need a sticker or flag or something to put on our units so that we can recognise other forum members. We could easily be just a couple of pitches away from another contributor and not know it.
I have the sticker proudly displayed in our front caravan window. No one has ever commented on it so I am guessing I have never met a regular contributor.
I always put my sticker in the 'van window when we are on a site, no one has ever commented, but then, we are usually in France with very few Brits.
Yes, I know we have members outside the UK too.
Might have done because someone on here commented about the same Murrayfield rugby match that we’d been to. And there was a group of guys in kilts on the Edinburgh site where we stayed.
Our rear (kitchen) window is a bit small for a sticker, which is why I peeled off the dealer’s one. But I’ll check out the flag, could pair it with my wee saltire.
Some years ago I was recognised on a site by my UKCS flag (old design) as well as my MINI Cooper with a custom paint job at the time.

I was gutted in France one year to realise that we had stayed on the same campsite one night as the legend that is David Klyne, and we didn’t see him! DOH!
We met a number of people from this forum at a UK National rally in Stourport on Severn many years ago. Also I arranged a small get together of about 20 units several or more years ago. It was nice to put faces to names. Never ever seen another caravan with a ukcampsite sticker.
We have a sticker and I have always hoped that someone - perhaps abroad - would saunter up and make contact. Nothing so far, but I don't think that I have ever seen (noticed?) a sticker on another caravan when on our travels.

We are often at the rugby internationals, but live near Edinburgh so don't need to camp, so would have been in the other 60,000 people
Touring about 4 months of the year around France since 2005, we have only met two other UKCS members - Ina in 2014 in a municipal on the Loire and an anonymous person near Chambery on the Rhone.

Funnily enough, I did meet David on a campsite in France, in Montech. However, at the time I didn't realise it was him! And funnier than that, at the end of the same holiday, we stayed overnight at Bearsted after crossing back from France; and by sheer coincidence we were pitched next to David! When I saw him briefly I decided it WAS him, so knocked on and asked. And I was right; we had a very nice chat, and yes, it was also him at that campsite at Montech.

Admittedly most people do try to avoid us.
Stuart, I remember it well, it was Chaumont, wasn't it? But my goodness, 7 years ago! And I would never try to avoid you
