Watched Paul McCartney at the BBC
and later
At The Cavern Club.
2018 where the Beatles played 300 times .
It was great to see a Brilliant Musician play all his Hit Songs and Music .
Also how he came over very down to earth ,funny telling all his stories of him and the Beatles
And All the Happy Memorable times .
Its time these old stagers called it quits. Out of all the 60's/70's lot, theres maybe a couple who can still hold a tune without shouting. I'd say Sting was one of them. But Macca, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Jagger - enoughs enough guys, you don't need the money. And as for Cliff Richard; he cant keep his falsies in long enough to get through a song. He sounds like my grannie used to - sucking at the dentures as she spoke.
If they are up to it and can produce something worthwhile, then by all means let them carry on - look at all the talent we have lost over the past few years and what has replaced them.
Sadly the industry is (and always has been) money driven, so no-one is likely to tell the likes of Rod Stewart, Cliff Richard and especially Barry Gibb (sounds like he`s using a set of teeth purchased from e-bay) they are embarassing themselves. Surely they don`t need the money, why ruin their reputation?
Speaking of Gibb/Bee Gees, have a look at Stevie Riks parodies on Facebook - excellent!

Shouting? Isn't that what all pop singers do these days? From what I can hear, all you have to do these days is shout some noise into a microphone, no need for actual words, and people will rave about how good you are.
Gone are the days when people actually sing.

I seem to remember my father saying that about artists of the late 50s and early 60s.
I think there has always been some great and some not so great, and that applies just as much today as it has always done. I'm off out soon to do my Hospital Radio Show and I'll be playing music from the 60s to today's music. If I don't like it, I won't be playing it.

Possibly so, but the old geezers managed to work it into tunes. The new lot have no choice, as they do need the money. As for Barry Gibbs teeth; i believe he rents them from Mr. Ed.
It's rather curious (sad?) how McCartney is so frequently in the news, gaining (seeking?) publicity, currently being photographed, telling all his tales of the Beatle days when John and George are no longer here to give their views, and while Ringo quietly continues his (admittedly less-publicised) musical career with such well-known musicians as Dr. John, Joe Walsh, Billy Preston, the Band's Levon Helm and Rick Danko, Nils Lofgren, Clarence Clemons, and Jim Keltner.
Incidently, while McCartney has been quite successful, George was the first to gain a solo number one hit...
------------- What's the difference between a chicken?
I've nothing against the oldies continuing if they are good. My problem is some of them have veered away so much from the sound or genre that made them different. Rod Stewart (IMHO) I'd a classic example. I loved him, went to see him back in the day when I was 13. Now he sounds like any other guy who can hold a tune who I would hear in the background in a hotel lounge.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
When modern artists are interviewed they always say they do music not play music. Because plenty of current music is created electronically with not a musical instrument in sight. Worldwide hits by artists such as Adele are designed by a huge team who know exactly how to produce formatted easy to listen to music that works to please the human brain.
And yet artists from the 60s & 70s still remain massively popular for the simple reason that they produced plenty of great music that is still good today. If the 60s/70s musicians want to keep rockin’ till they die then that’s fine by me.

Ringo tours with some incredible musicians in his All Starr Band, but many of those you mentioned there are long dead.
I agree with you about the 60 & 70 Music Is still popular .
And their music is still heard and liked
I'm a big fan of Paul Mc Cartney and his Music
and the Beatles .
As I have great memories of the Sixtys .
Mc Cartney said in his Interview
That "Saw her standing there "
Was his No1
And said he got the Idea for the song
'She was Just seventeen,
(whilst watching a beauty queen competion)
Do you know what I mean '
As him and John Lennon where discussing the Original wording
Which was
She was Just seventeen (a beauty queen )
John did not like It .
So they changed It
