Where have you been all my life? I have always had a slow cooker and use it often. After hearing about the Ninja Foodie (and after some procrastination - after all I have an oven and a microwave and if it ain't broke don't fix it), I caved in and bought one. It's a revelation. I've hardly used the oven in 2 months and rediscovered my love of cooking. I love it so much I'm giving in to my daughter and buying a later model (which I wasn't aware of when I bought the first one). Expensive yes. And it is very bulky. But for me worth every penny. When I buy my static (this year) I'll be getting another one.
I belong to a FB food group and Ninja Foodie in various models are often recommended as good buys.
I replaced my mini deep fat frying with a small Tower air fryer as I found cleaning the former a chore so I binned it. It was my third deep fat fryer, and should have learnt from my previous experiences, DOH!
The small air fryer suits my needs as I only use it to make chips, heat up shop bought onion rings, Padrón peppers and chicken wings.
The size of a Ninja Foodie is a concern for me as it is way too big for just one person, and takes up a lot of counter space.
Enjoy yours!

Yes, you're right, it does take up a lot of counter space but everything else is almost redundant in my kitchen now. Ive got a very small kitchen. The new one is even bigger but I thought what the heck, I went back to a cafetiere and got rid of my unsightly coffee machine as I don't drink much coffee anyway lol. When my microwave oven goes to oven heaven I will replace it with a much smaller version that basically only heats up (at the moment mine is very big with a convector oven etc). What I would say is there is an advantage to the foodie for one person as you can do full meals (veg on bottom, meat on top). It has opened up a whole new way of cooking for me and I'm enjoying experimenting.
It’s a bulky piece of kit but if you take away the microwave & other gadgets like fryers, it balances out the space that’s taken up. Looks ideal for a bedsit.
Would have suited my FIL who moved into sheltered housing with a tiny kitchen, he couldn’t use the cooker oven because of poor balance, there was no counter top space left for food preparation because of 2 fryers, an electric grill, the microwave, toaster, kettle & coffee pod machine. The Ninja can’t make coffee or tea, but he could maybe have done without most of other items including buying a new cooker, which went off almost unused to the charity shop when he died a few years later.
Anything that triggers a refreshed interest in cooking fresh from scratch has to be good.

Absolutely agree. I thinks it's probably ideal for a single person. I swithered because of the bulk of it but eventually bit the bullet and got the biggest foodie. You actually get used to the size of it. I love cooking anyway and cook a lot but it is really so easy in the Ninja. A full roast chicken in it takes less than an hour and is to die for and the first time I made roast pork I was amazed at the crackling. I would say its probably more economical as you are only heating a small space instead of a full oven.
