I Received a Letter from the DWP .
On the envelope
The large Black lettering Stated
"Important Information - Please Read"
I could feel my Heart Rate going up
As I opened the letter with Apprehension .
It told me I was Entitled to a higher amount of
State Pension .
Age Addition of 25p a week will be payable
from your 80th Birthday
Well I call It , " The Age of Reasoning "🤣
I'm Perplexed Perturbed Dismayed Bewildered
At this Increment
I Thought 🤔 At first a nought was missing
and It was some Mistake 😭
But No .
So Don't Laugh 😂🤣

It's a bit of a joke isn't it, albeit a rather sick one. What is anyone supposed to do with 25p extra? With the way things keep going up it's a wonder we haven't simply done away with coins smaller than £1, as small coins are hardly worth anything these days. It's the same with the £10 pensioners "Christmas bonus", which was introduced so many years ago and has never been updated. If it had been it should probably be more like £100 these days to be worth the same as when it was introduced.

It is a bit of a Joke , a sick one .
I personally think it's an Insult
I'm trying to think of where the DWP got the Idea , to decide to award us pensioners
this 25p.
Anyway It states in the letter
" What to do if you think this Decision is wrong "
Where do I Begin .
A lone voice against the System .

So here goes
You can Appeal against this decision
Ask us for an explanation of the decision
Ask us to look at the decision again

To see If It can be changed

All this to put you off Arguing or Disputing
with the DWP Legislation .
On the Funny side
I'm just wondering
If The Richie Rich

Octogenarians Megabucks Musicians
Like Rod Stewart ,Pete Townsend
And Eric Clapton .
Have had the Same DWP Letter sent to Them

Just "Imagine "

You cannot even buy a cheap half loaf of bread for 25p! Oh well another 5 years for me to get the 25p increase. Looking forward to it and if I am lucky I can buy a page from the local rag to use as toilet paper!

Absolute insult isn't it? It's difficult to think of anything you can actually buy for 25p these days. Treble that won't even buy a 2nd class stamp.

Depends where you go. When we were in Lytham a couple of weeks ago it was 40p, and also 40p in Grange-over-Sands, so you'll have to save up 2 weeks of the extra 25p to be able to afford to use a public toilet there!

ZIGZAG, I also got my letter last week.

It's just to cover the price of a couple of packs of Tena Men or Tena Ladies if you can manage to get out once a year. It saves the cost of Public Loos and hanging around the town centres.
