And well done King Charles for being open and up-front about it, rather than keeping it shrouded in mystery as it would have been not so long ago. Hopefully (as with his prostrate problem) revealing what is going will be a positive model for others, encouraging them to get checked out.

Also, let's not forget the other 3 million people going through this also. Yes according to macmillan cancer research, 3 million of us in the UK have the disease!

No choice but to reveal the problem as his diary now needs to be cleared.

I do wish however media wouldn't make out treatment is like having a covid jab, or taking a headache tablet.

Radio and chemotherapy can be severe and making out he will do everything including all his paperwork, government meetings etc don't reflect the reality of what he may have to go through and potentially have to live with afterwards,

It’s called “incidental diagnosis”. BBC says “one in five cancers is actually diagnosed when patients are being seen for something else, according to Macmillan Cancer Support analysis of NHS data.”
KC is being treated almost straight away. BBC says “The NHS target is for cancer treatment to start within 62 days of the disease being suspected.” I expect we all know someone who’s waited longer than that.

My former SIL (brother's wife) died of peritoneal cancer aged 40. I am pretty sure that there is still no cure for that.
