They are Abta covered so should be ok if anything is wrong.
ABTA is not insurance and would not 'cover' anything that went wrong, so don't be fooled by the ABTA logo. Full protection can only really be offered via ATOL and other insurance policies.

I meant if they went into liquidation i think your covered i always have other insurance too
ATOL usually refers to air travel organisers, usually companies that have their own airlines, airlines themselves etc
ABTA relates to travel agents....ie sorting out holidays/packages etc
Confusion often arises when a company applies to be part of both bodies as it falls into both catagories. In reality either accreditation would give the same level of protection to a UK traveller (depending on what you were seeking to claim.....eg:- neither would cover a hotel if the airline went bust UNLESS they were booked as a package). Neither will cover for things like illness etc whilst on the trip.

I didn't do it !! Nobody saw me do it !! You can't prove anything !!
You're closer to the mark there Mike. I was just pointing out that it wouldn't be a good idea to assume everything will be fine in the case that something were to go wrong, purely based on the presence of an ABTA logo on a website. It's a shame it's all so complicated when it could be so simple really!
Why not get a full printout of what they are offering and go into the local high street travel agents and tell them "match that and I will book it". The last two I booked were at TA (Coop & Thomas Cook...all part of same chain) and they matched a web price that I had.

My local travel agents (Thomson & Coop) couldn't get anywhere near the price offered by Travel Republic for my trip to New York - flight and hotel as a package.
The best alternative Thomson could offer was £150 more expensive for a lower quality hotel, and we had to fly from East Midlands airport rather than Manchester. The agent told me it was such a good bargain from Travel Republic, I should snap it up.
